SPAM KILLER is complete Anti-SPAM package fully integrated in the Cobalt Control Panel. With many features, it is one of the best E-Mail scanners and SPAM Blockers available. You can also enable/disable it per virtual site and user, so you can sell this to your customers as an extra service!
Some features of our SPAM KILLER:
• Graphical interface for easy configuration!: Server wide, per site* and per user configuration! (see screenshots below)
• Virtual Site*: We're the only one with this great feature. You can enable or disable SPAM KILLER per virtual site. This way you can sell it to your customer as an extra feature!
• Latest version of SPAM ASSASSIN (v3.1.7), the main SPAM Detection engine
• Vipul's Razor2 plugin: Razor establishes a distributed and constantly updating catalogue of spam in propagation that is consulted by email clients to filter out known spam.
• DCC plugin: The idea of the DCC is that if mail recipients could compare the mail they receive, they could recognize unsolicited bulk mail. A DCC server totals reports of checksums of messages from clients and answers queries about the total counts for checksums of mail messages.
• RBL plugin: MAPS RBL is a system for creating intentional network outages ("blackholes") for the purpose of limiting the transport of known-to-be-unwanted mass e-mail.
• RulesDuJour updater: This automatically downloads new versions of SpamAssassin rulesets as the authors release new versions. This is a very handy tool since people always come up with a new way to spell "viagra" (example)
• Configurable Checksum lists*: You can now select which lists you wish to use to check for SPAM. This way you can reduce CPU usage or specify what you want to block.
• DNS RBL*: You can now easily enable or disable the use of several DNS Blacklists. Lists that have been created and are being maintained by several parties on the internet. They contain known SPAM hosts and open relays. This is a great feature, because now you stop SPAM before it hits your server and it is being checked using the Checksum lists, which requires CPU power. This way your CPU usage will go down drastically!
• Country blocking*: Tired of receiving messages from (e.g.) Romania? With our new version you can block up to 48 countries. (mainly under developed countries which are known to send out SPAM)
• OCR Checks: Since v4.1.0, SPAM KILLER can scan images. Those annoying SPAM Mails that now hide their advertisement in an attachment (image) instead of easy to scan plain text now also get trapped in the SPAM FILTER!
• White-/Blacklists: Furthermore you can make your own white-/blacklist to always allow or deny certain E-Mail addresses.
• Handling options: SPAM KILLER can either mark and deliver SPAM, or move it to a different (IMAP/Webmail) Folder or even auto delete all SPAM. You can of course also turn SPAM KILLER off completely.
• Active Monitor*: The SPAM KILLER Active Monitor plugin will check the uptime status of SPAM KILLER a few times per hour. If SPAM KILLER has crashed for some reason, it will restart it for you automatically. This way you are always protected!
With all these plugins SPAM KILLER is a great SPAM Detection tool, which is (almost) never wrong!
